Outside of Room 221 and Points Beyond; Saturday Morning [02/02].
A challenge had been issued. And if anyone thought someone like Sidon would do anything but fully rise to meet that challenge with aplomb and gusto....well, then, clearly, they did not know Sidon. He supposed he could have waited a little later in the day, understanding that it was the weekend and some people (very rarely him!) liked to enjoy not having to be up early for classes or jobs or whatever else they had, but it took a great deal of willpower to wait even as long as he had. After all, each second that passed was an opportunity to lose that challenge.
And that simply would not stand.
Which was why there was a very large Zora at the door of Room 221 that morning, giving it a strong and hearty knock. "Vette!" he called out, before delivering another rhymthmic rapping on the door. "Vette! It is I, Sidon! The Zora Prince!"
She could probably hear that sparkling grin through the door, really.
"You must come quickly! We haven't got a moment to spare!"
[[ for that girl he kinda likes, though feel free to grumble. and NFB for distance after they hit that sweet, sweet portal, natch ]]

"Perhaps we'd best walk, then," Sidon suggested, almost a little regrettably. "Last we need is an attack while we're swimming, leaving you without your blaster and me to handle all the fun. We can also finish a bit more breakfast on the way, and, besides, who even knows what we'll find when we get there!"
no subject
Curse those innocent bystanders!
"Well," Vette teased, "you had me under the impression that you might know. Or are we running into the unknown now? Ooh, is this an adventure? Are we exploring the unknown corners of Hyrule now, going where nobody else has ever been?"

And here, of course, he flashed a grin, one that seemed to contend with the nonchalance of the shrug he'd offered. "I figured it couldn't possibly hurt to give it a look."

Please excuse Vette, Sidon, because the giddy sound that she was making now was approaching a pitch only audible to dogs. Maybe bats. Possibly Togruta? Their montrals picked up a lot...
Ahem.
"Ruins! Ancient ruins! Sidon! Sidon, how did you know!?!"
That question was mostly rhetorical. Vette was aware that she wasn't really subtle about her love of tomb raiding.

But for every reaction out of Vette that left him feeling perhaps a little disappinted and maybe confused, there were at least three like this, that seemed to somehow exceed any expectation he may have had, and so beautifully, too, and he laughed again, beaming, maybe needing to just squeeze her a little because he just had to do something with all these waves of adoration he was feeling.
"It must clearly be that supreme luck of mine, hard at work again," he said. "Now, it might take some doing, of course, as I hear it's been sealed for a long time and, again, not many venture that way, but I imagine that, if anyone could manage to take a crack at it, it would be you, Vette."

"Mysterious ruins puzzle! Yes!"
Seriously, it was going to be very difficult for her to top this one.
"Oooh, lemme at it, we'll be poking around dusty old ruins in no time!"
no subject
He chuckled, having no problems feeling rather proud of himself now, nuzzling into that hug a little bit before making his own declarations.
"Then let us not waste any more time! For thrilling and incredible adventure awaits!
"Well," he amended, dropping the boisterious tone for a lighter one as he grinned down at her, "perhaps we can stand to waste a little more time..."
With kisses. A few more kisses. Because he couldn't imagine a situation where Vette would launch herself into hugging him like that and have it not end in more kisses.

She grinned against his mouth, and nuzzled her nose against his face, and then gave a happy little sigh.
"The ruins aren't going anywhere without us," she agreed.
Yup, still the luckiest girl in the multiverse.
no subject
Even the greatest, dustiest ancient ruin out there wouldn't be worth it to him if it meant having to miss out on this.
no subject
Just imagine the adventure they could have trying to figure that one out!
And all the kisses along the way!

...it was a very good thing that he'd planned to start this date out nice and early; at the rate they were going, it could very well be nightfall by the time they even got up.

"We can always hope to get lucky, hm?"
Said the galaxy's luckiest girl.

Unless, of course, they decided to go climbing, and then it would never stop.
"I must admit," said Sidon, chuckling a little, "this has rather gotten my curiousity to start tickling the back of my brain in wondering if there is a possibilty that we might truly discover it gone when we arrive! And there's only one way to calm that particular curiosity, though this current situatuion we find ourselves in is rather," and here he sighed a bit wistfully, soaking up the moment as well as the rain, "incredible."

And a little fidget.
"Thank you for all of this."

She laughed a little, reaching up to touch his headfin, fingers lingering near that scar.
"Even if some of them make me want to shake you. I still wouldn't change you."
