It was definitely a hand-holding sort of view; Sidon and his own hand agreed with that wholeheartedly, and it made it easier to give Vette's hand a little reassuring squeeze with that last part.

"I would like that," he said, a quieter, more thoughtful rumble. "Not only because it would mean that you'd be able to go home again," which was something he thought about quite often, really, even when the thoughts weren't exactly the most cheerful for him, "but also...just to know...more..."

There were...so many things left undiscussed between them, because they were unpleasant things, though they were also important things. They weren't think he necessarily thought they needed to discuss now< of course, especially not when he still had other things he'd rather do, but it felt like a good moment to put it out there that he was open to hearing them.

Which he assumed she already knew, but it wouldn't hurt to let her know.
