Zora's Domain, Hyrule. Friday [05/04 FT].

Out of the desert and back to the cool, refreshing waters of Zora's Domain, it was the final day for the Hyrule trip, and Sidon had arranged for his friends to arrive to a wonderful party held in their honor. He and the other Zora had hung up bright and colorful banners and he'd convinced someone from the Wetland Stable to come up to the Domain to prepare a feast: Fish Pie and Seafood Paella, but also non-fish meat dishes, like Poultry Pilaf and Spicy Pepper Steak. And, of course, Creamy Heart Soup to celebrate the closeness of their friendship! There was Fruitcake and Nutcake, fresh bread and Honeyed Fruits. Sidon had tried his hand at a little cooking himself, but the results were a little dubious. Either way, his friends would certainly be eating well tonight!

And then relaxing in the peaceful Domain over stories of their adventure out into Hyrule, which he could hardly wait to hear. He was just glad they were back and they were safe and they would all return to Fandom Island with the shared experiences of his beloved homeland.

...But was it too early to start planning for the next trip back? There was still so much left to see!

"I...do," Sidon admitted, slowly, and he leaned in, lowering his voice. "It's probably not a very wise idea, in fact, I suspect it's quite the opposite, but....Norman, I believe....in light of this gift of yours that you've just revealed to me...I may...have to ask a favor of you."

Well... that was...

Norman looked at Sidon with a thoughtful frown. He'd never really had anybody asking him to use his power before.

"A favor?"

"First," Sidon said carefully, "I suppose I must ask you this. You don't....happen to see Mipha here, now, in the Domain, do you? That's my sister, the one on the statue..."

Norman bit his lip. Yeah, this was heading the direction he was kind of afraid it was heading, wasn't it?

"I don't see her right now," he replied. "I could ask one of the other ghosts if she's here, though. There are usually at least a few."

"No," Sidon shook his head sadly, "that's quite alright. I figured that would be your answer. I never really...feel her presence here, though I always keep my heart open to it. It's only ever..." He turned his head again, toward the mountains. "Up there. And therein lies my favor, Norman. Perhaps later, when everything here has settled down, would you mind...terribly...going up to the Divine Beast with me, just to see...if you truly can see spirits...I...I simply must know, if she's still up there, as I...as I truly feel she is."

It seemed like such a simple request.

Just go, and see if a ghost was in a certain place. That was nothing compared to some of the things that Norman had been asked to do over the years. But there was something to that request, something deeper than Norman could really grasp, that made him study Sidon in silence for a minute before coming up with reply. And when he spoke, his words were careful, measured, but gentle.

"I can do that," he said, nodding a little. "If she's there, that's definitely something I can do."

"Excellent," Sidon nodded. "Thank you, Norman. It will...greatly settle something that had been plaguing my mind for some time now. I can only think of it as fortuitous that I should discover your gift now, before we return to Fandom Island, so that I might finally--"

But he stopped, his eyes lifting over Norman's shoulder, and he cleared his throat. "Ah, and the great scribe returns. I shall come find you later, my friend. For now, I believe you have a majestic dragon to describe for posterity!"

Norman wanted desperately to ask what it was that he wasn't being told, why it might be that she would be elsewhere, instead of here with her family. But once the scribe had returned, there was no way to ask, no way to find out without potentially sharing something that wasn't his to share.

So he looked at Sidon and nodded a little.

"I'll talk to you again later, then?"

He apparently had a dragon to talk about.
