Into the Sewers (Mostly); Friday After Workshops [07/05].
Sidon did try not to worry too much about this sort of thing; after all, he knew Vette to have a passionately free spirit, as she very well should, and it was absolutely one of the things he adored about her. But he knew they had a Friday class together, one that he knew she'd be quite fond of last session, so it was a little surprising to him that he had not seen her there. Perhaps she'd just gotten lost? Radio hadn't mentioned her at work yesterday, either...and Sidon should be at work himself right now, but...well, to be honest, he was having a little bit of trouble getting there, so he figured he might as well try and get to Wellspring today to see if she'd made it in there, but...
It didn't take him long in his efforts to realize that finding anyone in this mess might be a bit of a challenge. But there had been...goblins, he'd noticed, running around, generally trying to scamper away from him, as they seemed pretty keen on avoiding him. Some may have considered an attempt to kidnap him, but most of them seemed to realize that such an effort would prove...difficult, if not entirely futile. But he did notice them, and his intrigue swelled a little when he'd also noticed them slipping down into the sewers...
Curiousity would always get the better of Sidon in most situations, and this was certainly one of them, and maybe if he could only catch up to one of the goblins and ask them what they knew? Perhaps they'd seen Vette? Maybe there would be some other answers down there in the sewers? Would they be as convoluted and changing as the world above?
Only one way to find out! And it was questions like that which lead Sidon deeper, deeper into them, not entirely sure what he was looking for, but feeling certain he would know it when he found it, and that hopefully it would all be in vain because, wherever she managed to find herself, Vette was fine, she was safe, she was taking care of herself.
But just in the occassion that she wasn't, he was certainly going to try to get to the bottom of this!
[[ this post, she has ocd! Because reasons! Mostly for those who know who they are, BUT there is a general thread if anyone would like to cross paths with Sidon while he's down there exploring! ]]

We spent too much time hacking this out together, lol!
Re: Back at the Hide-Out - 07/05.
The first thing that caught him, before he even opened the door, was the sick scent of fermenting fruit. He wrinkled his nose a little, and then shook it off. That was a bad sign, wasn't it?
When he opened his door to see three - that three, no less - students just collapsed around the room, he paused in his tracks and blinked.
And then grimaced.
"Right."
Looked like he had some rescuing to do?
Re: In the Sewers - 07/05.
Where...where was everyone? His little bauble bounced along a little, as if trying to seek out something it instinctively knew was there but couldn't actually find.
Re: In the Sewers - 07/05.
She was alone.
There'd been the most marvelous of events and she'd been perfect and everything had been absolutely breathtaking in the very best of ways… but then it had started unravelling and she couldn't quite figure out why. Had a dance step gone wrong? Had a laugh hit the wrong note? Was the dream just a dream?
What had happened to the dazzling others? Had she done something to drive them off? They were still close, she could tell, but no matter how she looked, she couldn't find them…
And Nina hated being alone…
Her little bubble (of just her, always just her, was she never going to be good enough--) bounced aimlessly, anxiously, as she looked and looked and looked for everyone else that had to be so close, she just had to figure out what she'd done wrong and it would be fine, she could fix it, they could go back to the ball where nothing had ever felt wrong…
Re: In the Sewers - 07/05.
She didn't know what. She reached for the bars and they pulled away from her hands, but the ones behind her shifted so that her prison didn't grow or shrink, simply evaded her ability to even consider escape, as was the way of nightmares.
Eventually, somebody would come to claim her. Somebody always did in these dreams, though she was alone in this one, her mother and sister weren't even nearby for her to be pulled away from.
She sat, pulled her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, and waited.
She looked so small, placed there in the sphere like a toy that didn't fit.
Somebody would come.
They always did.
She would rather they didn't.
It had only ever been rescue once, after all.
Re: In the Sewers - 07/05.
He suspected it was quite a bit like above, as well. So he sighed, looking up to see if there was perhaps an avenue that opened up there, and then turned around to head back on whatever new path awaited him.
And it was when he turned that he saw them, tilting his head slightly, three bubbles floating into the space in front of him. No, no, not quite bubbles, they were a bit different, seemed a bit more...solid, really, and they floated and bobbed along almost aimlessly, carelessly. How...curious! It was certainly noteworthy...perhaps some sort of clue? Sidon edged a little closer for a better look, approaching them slowly, half-wondering if they would scatter once they realized he was there. Or perhaps not, if they were just floating spheres, there might be nothing more than that. They were pretty, though; there seemed to be something inside! Shifting colors, shapes, and as he managed to get closer, he could swear that it almost looked like there were...people inside? Tentatively, he held up a finger toward one, thinking of perhaps poking it with his claw...they weren't quite bubbles, were they? But what if they could still pop? So he withdrew his hand and leaned in, trying to see inside a bit more.
Re: In the Sewers - 07/05.
of emotion, Prompto had started to run. He didn't know where he was going; he didn't know what he was running from, but he knew he had to get there and he knew he could't let it catch up to him. The only problem was, no matter how much he ran, no matter how his legs ached, no matter how badly it felt like his heart was going to burst out of his chest, he wasn't actually getting anywhere. It was just more of this all encompassing darkness, neverending, closing in on his as he just kept running, and running, and running...And then, so suddenly he actually tripped over his own feet a little and went plummeting down into the darkness, which somehow managed to catch his fall, there was something. Pushing himself up a little, he looked up, into the something...squinting at it. It was...indistinguishable, really, except that it was something...red. Something looming. Something...familiar.
"Hel...hello?" he asked, his voice sounding so small and hollow in the darkness, so uncertain, as he pushed himself back up to his feet...and fought down the urge to start running again.
Re: In the Sewers - 07/05.
There wasn't a jail cell in the galaxy that she could escape from, right?
But this wasn't her galaxy. And she couldn't escape from a cell she couldn't even touch.
Her sphere continued along. But Vette had all but given up.
Re: Diamond Dungeon Crawl! - 07/05.
She kicked at a puddle and swatted at some hanging cobwebs.
"Traps and dangers all over the place down here! And Sidon gets all the fun!"
It was possible she was overcompensating a tiny bit after her time in the sphere.
Re: Diamond Dungeon Crawl! - 07/05.
Y'know, considering it was nothing but endless unfathomable space.
But he felt he was doing okay with staying cool, and the company was definitely helping with that. "I mean," he offered helpfully, "it is only Friday. I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to make it up, right? We'll just have to...you know...never eat anything with peaches ever again."
Which was kind of sad, because he did legit still love peaches.
